A Prayer for Consecration
A Prayer of Humility, Obedience, and Holy Devotion
Holy Father,
During this season of Lent, as my focus is reoriented once again to You, I pray You would remember my frame: that it is a tent made of dust, tethered only to this world by the tri-chord of Your mercy, grace, and love.
Touch my ear with the finger of Your Spirit, that I might clearly hear Your voice and be quick to obey Your commands.
May each action I take in service to You, whether in work, prayer, giving, or fasting, be done in secret and in humility, as consecrated holy work for Your glory.
Holy Christ, let my walk be in step with You, as I am reminded that You endured all the same temptations that I do. Help me know Your Word and walk in its authority wherever You send me.
Sanctify me for Your purposes. Anoint me with the oil of Your presence. May my life be a living sacrifice, consecrated to You.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory.
Amen.
